This video shows you how to turn pennies from copper to silver then to gold with a few household chemicals.
Process description:
- Get Zinc, Sodium Hydroxide and copper pennies
- Add a pinch of zinc to water
- Add Sodium Hydroxide
- Bring to a boil then turn off the heat
- Add clean pennies
- Wait until coin turns silver and remove it very carefully using tongs
- Heat silver coin and you have your GOLD

this is... real alchemy? is it gold on the inside as well? that is most likely a 'no', but i can't say that for myself. until i try it.

No, it's actually a brass coating that looks like gold, which happens when you burn off the 'silver' layer coating using a propane torch.
